Blog #10: Music

Image
What's good y'all, Me personally I don't think I could ever go without music. In my opinion, music is the most important thing besides food, water, and shelter. Almost every single person listens to music every single day, even when your at the dentist music might be on in the background. The world could not go on without music as it's something that every single human likes. Whether it's different genres, artists, or even sounds used in the songs such as the instruments or samples.  I listen to music a lot in my everyday life as I almost always have my headphones in my ears or around my neck. Music can do a lot of things for people and it can all be different. People can listen to music to get prepared to work out or get hyped to play a basketball game. There's also music you can just chill to or even get sad listening to, cause a lot of people like to do that... Cough cough me. What are y'all favorite genres and artists? I'd say my favorite genres are

Blog #9: Media

Image
What's good y'all. I feel like I've always looked at media in a weird light. As instead of taking the content or opinion I see at face value I more of see it as their main message or the reason why they are posting this. For example when people post themselves doing very dumb or reckless things for views, the first thing that came to my mind is that the person is only doing it for attention. However, people can make a living off of things around that nature. Another example is Gio Wise, he's a basketball player on Tik Tok and he does a lot of unnecessary dribbling. He doesn't go anywhere with the moves he's doing and he almost always misses the shot. Of course he's not doing anything reckless or bad, but he posts videos of himself doing extra dribble moves when they don't work. In basketball dribbling moves are mostly one or two combos used to create space for a shot or go to the basket. In Gio's case he does a lot of extra moves and goes nowhere. H

Blog #8: Perception

Image
What's good y'all. I'm listening to Steve Lacy right now and he got me thinking. I was listing to "Thats no fun" and I noticed that everyone you come across will have a different opinion and interpretation of you.  When you are thought about a different image will come up for every person. Yes there will be some commonalities but there are also going to be quite a lot of differences. As people tend to change their personality from who they are around or where they are at mentally. Subconsciously you act different depending on who you're around and most of the time you won't notice it. Even in the case that you act the same around everyone people are still going to have different opinions and thoughts of you when you come up. This is influenced by their perception of you and their interpretation of your words and actions. Value is in the eye of the beholder and this can be applied here.

Blog #7: Hashtags

Image
What's good y'all. For this post I'm going to be talking about what a hashtag is. To me hashtags are an inclusion of a culture that is put in the hashtag. As it can help people find content similar to it. For example when I type #sneakers on Tiktok I'm going to get videos and posts about sneakers and their culture. A hashtag can also be used to show what community you're apart of or what people that might have similar hobbies or interests as you can see. Hashtags have been a big use on social media as even people in person can say hashtag then say whatever. People used to get upset about how others would use hashtag and put Anything in front of it, as it was first used as a one word thing that could be used as a a part of a community. Like my mom could put "#Tortillas are overrated". Tortillas are great they aren't overrated but you get the point. Hashtags are very helpful for people looking for others that have the same hobbies or love of something a

Blog #5 Arizona Education

Image
What I got from the article "Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads." By AZcentral is that Ducey is putting more money towards education hoping to emphasize it and we can improve our education as a state. He hopes to have 60% of Arizona citizens to have some level of education after high school by 2030. While yes I think this is a good idea I also feel like there are some flaws. 42% of Arizona citizens have education after high school while 2 out of 3 jobs are looking to hire people with some sort of degree or certificate. It's understandable that a workplace would want someone with higher education as they don't need to be taught as much compared to someone without any education however a majority of Arizona citizens have high school as their highest form of education. I also feel as if a high school diploma isn't enough now, which it's not. In the 90s a high school diploma could get you a good paying job but compared to todays world a high school diplo
